The San Diego Opera Ensemble will honor Sophie Brody by singing excerpts from her favorite
operas: Carmen, Rigoletto, Don Giovanni, The Barber of Seville,
Die Fledermaus, and La Bohème.

Sophie's ability to take ideas from inception through implementation was exemplary. The Jerusalem Lyric Trio's imaginative, dramatic works are inspired by biblical texts, holy Jerusalem, Israeli landscapes, and familiar Hebrew, Yiddish and Ladino songs. Flutist Wendy Eisler-Kashy, soprano Amalia Ishak, and pianist Allan Sternfield are virtuoso soloists, and together they create magnificent musical conversations.
