- Entry Criteria
- There are no entry fees for the SDJFF.
- Deadline for all film submissions for consideration in the 18th Annual SDJFF is October 15, 2007.
- Criteria: Narrative, documentary, animation, experimental, and children's films
with Jewish content.
- Films 30-minutes or less will be considered short-subject.
- Screeners of foreign language films must be subtitled in English.
- Prefered format for screeners: 1/2" VHS NTSC or DVD ( PAL formats are permitted as well)
- Exhibition Formats: 35mm and Beta. We do not accept HDCAM.
- Ship screeners to:

- Enclose and/or e-mail your full contact information, film data, and publicity (if applicable) including:
• Print Source name, address, phone, e-mail, and web site link
• Synopsis and filmmaker bio along with filmmaker‘s contact information
• Director, country of origin, year, running time, language
• Publicity may include: press reviews, awards, award nominations, premier dates and city,
and/or any other relevant press materials.
- Shipping: screener(s) shipping costs, to and from the SDJFF, should be paid by the sender. We do not return screeners unless you include a self-addressed stamped envelope with your entry. If you do not include a self-addressed stamped envelope, and your film is not accepted into the SDJFF, we will discard the screener.
- Packaging: kindly label your screener with the title, director's name, running time, indicate language and if subtitled.
- Additional Submission Materials (please send the following electronically):
• At least one image from the film.
• A director photo. ( Required for Joyce Forum submissions.)
- Artwork being submitted electronically can only be accepted in the following formats:
Microsoft Word, RTF, PDF, or plain ASCII text.
Digital film stills are accepted in either TIFF or JPEG format at 300dpi or higher.
Via e-mail (files over 4MB cannot be accepted) or sent on CD-ROM or 100MB Zip disk.
